heartfelt good morrow and welcome to the guild of bards where times of mysterious heroes, romance, chivalry and legends live on...

Once upon a time, during a quiet and peaceful summer evening, four were gathered by the will of rest, among the old pine trees. A small fire was burnt, and the time slowed it rush... The night fell. Dry wood gave almost no smoke, and friends could admire the beauty of the stars. The atmosphere of unity with nature... and purity it brings, gave birth to the idea of gathering people, who also fancy themselves as mortal guardians of these wonderful things. Their hopes blended in deeds, and their deeds were named, and this name is BARDS GUILD.

…We called ourselves Bards, which is not due to music we play or listen, but as in history Bards were never just professional musicians.

In their heart bards were devoted to music, they learned also other generally useful skills. When it came to battle, their songs were astonishingly useful. While they purified the minds of the ones on their side, they tormented the enemies. Much merriment and gladness was always around a bard.

Bards were cultural figures more closer to priests than to entertainers, and were allowed to pass freely from kingdom to kingdom, even between kingdoms at war. A Bard’s position was politically neutral, and one could not take sides in a dispute. His task was to discover and expose truth, and enlighten others to it with his power over language. The Celts believed that there were three magical melodies: the song of healing, the song of joy, and the song of sorrow. The bards semi-magical reputation comes both from the three melodies and their mastery of the power of speaking.

We called ourselves Bards since this word has so many different meanings, but all of them merge in our hearts and our minds…

The Guild was founded on the 1st day of June in 1998.
Official page opening was on 14th of October 1998.
